Description
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
“This is the kind of tent you build a real expedition around. I’ve seen it used as a dining hall, medical tent, and command center, and it handles brutal wind and snow without flinching. Once it’s set, it feels like a fortress—spacious, confidence-inspiring, and absolutely built for high-alpine abuse.”
After a long, exhausting approach into high alpine terrain, few sights are more reassuring than the Space Station Tent from Mountain Hardwear standing strong against the elements. Designed to serve as the heart of basecamp life, this iconic dome offers generous room for teams to eat, plan, rest, and regroup when the mountains are doing their worst.
Built for expedition use, the Space Station is engineered to withstand severe weather created by glaciated terrain and exposed camps. Its rugged construction and reinforced structure allow it to stand firm in powerful winds, while thoughtful venting helps manage condensation when occupied by large groups. Snow flaps and skirted edges add stability and versatility, even doubling as impromptu seating during long days in camp. With expansive interior space and dependable storm protection, this tent transforms hostile environments into a livable base for serious objectives.
