What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
“I’ve taken the Fastpack Mid WP on wet trails and rocky routes, and the DREAM midsole really stands out—plush without being unstable. The waterproof membrane keeps my feet dry, and the updated SURFACE CTRL outsole grips well on soaked roots and mud. It’s a lightweight mid that still feels supportive on long days.”
We turn to the Fastpack Mid WP Hiking Boot from The North Face when the day’s route covers miles of mud, slick roots, and shifting weather. The DREAM midsole gives us that cushioned rebound that keeps fatigue at bay, and the DRYVENT waterproof membrane seals out wet conditions without overheating on the climb. The padded collar and tongue deliver all-day comfort, making this boot feel ready for both quick after-work loops and weekend missions.
Technical design features keep this boot performing long after the trail turns rough. An abrasion-resistant ripstop upper is reinforced with seamless TPU overlays for added support, while a molded-heel chassis stabilizes every step. Underfoot, the SURFACE CTRL SC2 outsole uses 5mm lugs to dig into wet terrain, delivering reliable grip when the weather or landscape turns challenging. With its stable platform and protective build, the Fastpack Mid WP gives us the confidence to explore farther on any trail.
